Privacy Policy
Who we are
Grant County Stage is a community events calendar for Grant County, New Mexico. Our website address is: https://grantcountystage.org.
What data we collect and why
Visitors: We use self-hosted analytics (Matomo) to understand how the site is used — which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they come from. This data is anonymized (we never store your full IP address), uses no cookies, stays on our own server, and is never shared with or sold to anyone. We use no third-party advertising or tracking services.
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
Event and venue submitters: If you create an account or submit an event, venue, or production, we store the information you provide — your name, email address, and the content you submit — so we can publish your listings and contact you about them. We don’t use it for anything else.
Contact form: Messages sent through our contact form go to the site administrators by email and are used only to respond to you.
Media
If you upload images to the website (for example, an event poster or venue photo), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
Browsing this site sets no cookies — our analytics is cookie-free, and we have no advertising or social media trackers.
If you have an account: when you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out, the login cookies are removed. If you edit or publish a listing, an additional cookie is saved that contains no personal data and simply indicates the ID of what you just edited; it expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Event listings may include embedded content or links to other websites (for example, videos or ticket sellers). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited the other website. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
No one. Your data is not sold, traded, or shared with third parties. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
Published event, venue, and production listings are retained as part of the community calendar. For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile for as long as the account exists. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Contact us through our contact page for either request.
